Day 7: one week done! St Donat to Mende, 310km.
This was another good day, and the scenery was spectacular, but there were a fair few roads. I don't think there was much choice, but at one point there was 160km approx with only snatches of trail along the way. Normal service resumed after that though.

Spectacular

Rocky Like Balboa

I didn't mind too much, because of the views, and the roads were twisty cols and good fun. Supermoto style!
I continue to be indebted to the linesmen and can't say thanks enough. And John of course!

In aptly named Mende now, to buy some cooler kit and fit new tyres. Anyone have experience of Michelin Enduro Comp 3? All they had at €77 fitted first thing tomorrow.

A few people asked about fuel.

Turns out it takes 19litres (6.5 in rade tank), which gives exactly 400km. Or - as it turns out - slightly under!

Got too confident and missed a fuel stop at light (60km to go) but ran out 2.5km short. Fortunately - oh so very fortunately - it was all down hill, and there really was a petrol station where my GPS said. Rolled in right to the pump! 😬

Finally, thanks for all the messages of support and encouragement to keep posting!
